FTK Dr. Krishnan Endowment Fund

Valedictorian Award, Salutatorian Award & Math/Science Award

FTK has been fortunate enough to be in partnership with

Dr. Krishnan, a retired science teacher from EIHS, who established the

Dr. Krishnan Endowment Fund many years ago. Every year, a Scholarship is given to the

top two outstanding seniors of the class along with the outstanding

Math and Science  Student of the class.

The David Goldfader Scholarship

The David Goldfader FTK Board Memorial Scholarship was offered to a graduating Senior of the East Islip high School for the first time in June 2020. David Goldfader was a long time beloved FTK Board Member who shared his financial acumen and time and talents with FTK. David truly felt that volunteerism was an important part of any successful community based organization. He was dedicated to enhancing the educational experiences of all the students in the East Islip School District through his many years of work on the FTK Board. David passed away in January 2020 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s. His impact on the FTK Board and East Islip School District as a whole is immeasurable.

David was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2006 and underwent a Deep Brain Stimulation in 2011. He battled with this horrific disease for over fourteen years. Throughout his fight, he showed tremendous courage, strength, and determination. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and never lost his true spirit. David was married to his wife Nancy for 33 years and together they have three beautiful children, Geoffrey, Eric, and Victoria, and his beloved furry pal Tiki. He was a devoted son to his late father, Ed, and mother, Paula Goldfader, and loyal brother to Laura and Ellen and to his in-laws. We will always remember David for his unwavering love for his family and friends and his generous and kind nature.
